Blue horses and trees give this small equestrian toile shade a pastoral story, while its tapered shape keeps the silhouette tidy. Handmade in Nashville, it clips onto a suitable candle-shaped bulb and is sold as one shade for a sconce or chandelier.

“An equestrian toile need not live in a sporting room. One small shade brings a gentle country note to a plain wall and a simple mirror.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Switch off the lamp and let it cool before cleaning or removing the shade. Dust the fabric gently with a clean, soft brush; support the shade by its frame rather than squeezing the fabric. Avoid soaking, bleach and sprays, and keep moisture away from the lining and fittings. Before fitting, check the shade attachment, bulb clearance and lamp manufacturer’s bulb and wattage requirements; the shade does not set the lamp’s electrical rating.

This is a special-order item and is final sale; it cannot be returned.

Maker / Heritage

Winterborne Decor works from a Nashville studio, where its lampshades are made by hand in small batches. Its pattern collection combines original in-house designs with textiles by artists including Danika Herrick and Whitney English. The studio also works with customers’ own fabrics for custom shades, a useful glimpse of the attention it gives to matching pattern, scale and silhouette.
